Asthma

Asthma can at times be hard to diagnose and control. Once diagnosed, the goal is to minimize triggers, prevent flares and reduce severity. The intent of our goal is to ultimately reduce the number of ER and urgent care visits, minimize missed school days, and staying out of play and sports because of asthma. In addition, we practice the 2020 Focused Updates to the National Institute of Health (NIH) Asthma Management Guidelines. The NIH released its initial Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma in 2007. By following the most up-to-date guidelines, we intend to achieve the best results for our children, so they can keep doing what they love to do, without having the struggle to breathe comfortably. If your child’s asthma control is not optimal, or your child is missing school days, or is struggling to keep up with peers during play and sports, consider making an appointment..
