Adolescent health is unique as it involves progressing through puberty, attaining development milestones such as valuing personal independence and peer relationships, forming academic goals, and developing health concerns such as acne. We understand and respect adolescent confidentiality, and promote transition to adulthood and self-care. Therefore, it is always a good idea to see your pediatrician even if it is to discuss what’s on your mind.

The chief symptom of adolescence is a state of expectation, a tendency towards creative work, and a need for the strengthening of self-confidence. Suddenly, the child becomes very sensitive to the rudeness and humiliations which he had previously suffered with patient indifference.
